I got this kit as ive always wanted to achieve a perfect smokey eye whilst avoiding looking like ive been punched in the face. MAC brought this out in their Cine-matics collection and i just had to have it. The kit set me back £39.50 and came with three eyeshadows Bisque, Ambience and Carbon. Zoom lash mascara, techinkohl eye-liner (which i'm in complete love with!) A 275 se brush and a 212se brush and of course a step by step guide to complete a sexy, sultry smokey eye.

Nails of the day 25/08/2011 - Jessica Intrigue

Jessica in the colour 'Intrigue'. I've had this colour for a little while now and i just love it, i even got this for Christmas for my sister. I originally brought this from my local beautician when she put this gorgeous colour on top of my gels, i just knew i had to have it. Id recommend the Jessica brand to anyone, their fast dry really does fast dry and the brilliance top coat leaves a beautiful shine on the nail.

I don't actually own this colour but I used a friends nail polish which is also Jessica and this is in 'Soak up the sun'

Lots of love

July Favourites

Hi guys!

Just noticed i haven't posted for a week! I was waiting for a few things to turn up but they didnt, so i thought i'd talk about my favourites from the month of July.

Ciate Cookies and Cream is such a lovely neutral nail colour which is perfect for work or just days where you feel like being simple. It's been a hit with me this month!

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin 200ml - Skin Types 3 & 4

Clinique liquid facial soap for oily skin which I got in a sample size from their counter has been a big favourite this month and has been incorporated into my everyday skincare routine. Along with a couple of my next favourites of the month.

Clinique 125ml Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

Clinique Dramatically different moisturising gel has also been a must product for this month.

Even though oil replaces the moisturiser in your skincare routine i love to also add this to my face

Inlight organic daily face oil which I got from my Glossybox.

Coca Cola vanilla lip smacker

Ciate White Chocolate Gentle and Nourishing Nail Polish Remover

When this arrived I was immediately impressed by the packaging, A very heavy glass bottle with a bow and gold chandelier 'donning' the front of the bottle, I was immediately in love! But I did a stupid, stupid thing. I opened the beautiful chrome look lid and sniffed inside to smell the delicious chocolate scent! How wrong was I?  It smelt heavily of chemicals probably more chemically than a normal bottle of Nail polish remover. So there's your warning never ever smell a bottle of nail polish remover that claims to have a beautiful scent.

Application is easy as your'd expect and the polish is good at removing nail polish. When the polish dries the beautiful scent comes through, and makes your nails smell like chocolate. This is what is I like about this product except the cutesy packaging, but lets face it chocolatey scented nails is a bit of novelty.

The bottle would normally cost £14 but I brought mine in a set and paid £39 for a huge set of items and an extra nail polish from Ciate's beautiful range. I cant see that I would buy this product again but it is a lovely little concept and I will keep the glass bottle and display this on a vanity which I hope to have in future. (I might just have to fill the bottle with a bargain buy Tesco nail polish remover though!)

Sally Hansen salon effects real nail polish strips - laced up review

So as you all may remember i got some items imported from America went family went to visit they brought me back the colour-way 'laced up'. I have to say they are super easy to apply and everything you need comes in the box.

To prepare your nails firstly you need to clean and dry your nails, then push back your cuticle with the wooden stick included in the pack.

With the hot pink side of the file you then shape your nails

You then smooth your nails out with the white side of the file.

You then clean your nails with nail vanish remover to clean off any excess oil and dirt.

Select the best fitting nail strip for each of your nails, you then peel back the plastic cover.

Break the strip, then apply!

smooth the nail surface by using the flat end of the cuticle stick then file of excess with the light pink file.

then you get this!

Dont they just look great! Not available in the U.k yet but I've heard they soon will be, if you to impatient like me then ask an American friend very nicely or seek on Ebay/Amazon. I must add these are made out of real nail polish, thus making it easier to apply than wraps.

These are officially a dream product, what do you think of my next pick?

Dukan diet phase 1

After reading a magazine, i decided to lose my excess baby pounds by going on the Dukan Diet. The Dukan diet was founded by a doctor called Pierre Dukan in France and is based on high protein and very low carb. there are four phases to the diet these are the attack phase, the cruise phase, the consolidation phase and then the stabilisation phase

I signed up at  http://www.dukandiet.co.uk to find out my 'True weight' (i think it much more money savvy to buy the books and not sign up online) Dukans website will then ask you 11 questions to find out 'your true weight' and also how long you will be doing the different phases for. The website recommends i do the 'attack phase' for 2 days and the 'cruise phase' until i'm at 'my true weight' which he reckons will be around November time.

As I've said part 1 of the diet is called the 'attack phase'. During the attack phase you have to stick to this list of allowed foods, you can eat as much of these as you please.:

Meat and Offal
Beef Steak
Filet of beef
Sirloin Steak
Roast Beef
Rump Steak
Bresaola (air dried beef)
Veal escalope
Calf's liver
Veal Chop
Cooked ham slices (no fat, no rind)
Cooked chicken and turkey slices (no fat, no rind)
Fat reduced bacon
Game - Venison, pheasant, partridge, grouse
Dab/Lemon sole
Dover sole
Fish roe - Cod, Salmon, Herring, Mullet
Grey Mullet
Rainbow Trout/Salmon Trout
Red Mullet
Sea Bass
Sea bream
Smoked Salmon
Dublin Bay prawns
Mediterranean prawns/ Gambas
Seafood sticks - surimi
Chicken livers
Guinea Fowl
Hen's eggs
Quail's eggs
Virtually Fat-Free Dairy Products
Skim milk
Virtually fat-free quark
Virtually fat-free fromage frais
Virtually fat-free cottage cheese
Fat-free greek yogurt
Fat Free natural yoghurt (plain or no-sugar sweetener only)
Vegetable Protein

There are other things like herbs, spices, dressings and onions you can add to spice up these foods. You can also eat eggs but only one yolk per day, fat free yoghurt and 1.5 tsp of oat Bran per day.You also must do 20 mins of brisk walking per day and drink 1.5 litres of water per day.

My two days on the the attack phase ended yesterday, I lost 1.5 pounds in two days and today I started the cruise phase, which i will talk about in another post. I must admit im quite partial to buying the recipe book on my kindle as i've read some of the meals are quite good. You can buy both books (the diet book and the recipe book) quite cheaply on Amazon.

To a very good start and hopefully a good future

 P.S im craving carbs!

3 months of Glossybox revisited!

Glossybox has been an absolute dream, i've found some complete must haves thanks to this box and here they are!

As you all know the first box included Nars Orgasm illuminator, I'm no where near finished but this has become one of my favourite items from the boxes. I use this product to highlight my cheeks and often use it together with Nars Orgasm blush. It creates lovely luminosity.

Image 1 of NARS Orgasm Illuminator
Another one of my favourite products from Glossybox was the Alterna (Cavier Anti Ageing Rapid Repair spray). Its used for hair and smells great Full of vitamins and U.V protection it made my hair especially my dry ends look Fabulous! I talk about this product in the past tense as ive actually used it all up. This is on my beauty wants list, hopefully we will be reunited soon.

The in the month of June i got another box my favourites from this box include

Hydrating Foot Soak

Full sized and worth £20, this foot soak smells nice and helps revitalise my tired feet which don't resemble those of a princess, however this product without ex-foliating makes them look and feel alot better!

Next in June's Glossybox and a member of my 'loves' team is O.P.I nail vanish in extravagance and this picture just shows why

Then on to Julys box which probably was my most favourite box ever! Weleda pomegranate body oil is just AMAZING!!! Its made my skin ever so supple and soft and it smells amazing! Gives skin luminosity without being greasy! I'd love a repurchase of this!

Inlight organic face oil which again is just fantastic, i think people see the word oil and assume it greasy, it isnt it just sinks into skin and leaves a lovely luminosity. i can't stress how fantastic my skin has looked and felt since using this religiously.

Illamasqua pure pigment in Tingle, its just an amazing colour with beautiful shimmer, I use this to highlight my brow and inner corner.

and then last but not least Xen Tan in the colour Dark

Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe 236ml

I used this for an event I attended recently and its the best colour ive ever seen, its such a beautiful golden brown colour that your'd expect from a suntan. Not a hint of orange in it. I'm being completely honest when I say me and fake tan do not get on, however...I think I may have found the one!

So there we have it my favourites from Glossybox! In the near future i shall be expecting my Boudoir Prive box, and i cant wait to see what gems I find in there too.
